Adopt-a-highway

Thanks to board member Arvina Bozarth, the Women’s Democrat Association of Perry County has been approved to participate in the State Adopt-A-Highway program that promotes and establishes stewardship of public lands. Through this program, a two-mile stretch on the new Highway 237 has been adopted. Two signs ‘Women’s Democrat Association of Perry County’ have been installed by the Transportation Department. Litter/garbage will be picked up about four times a year. Volunteers are needed for litter pick-up: if interested, please contact Arvina at 547-6284 or by email: bozartha@yahoo.com.
