Lucy
Goffinet is a 1995 graduate of Cannelton High School, 1999 graduate of the
University of Southern Indiana, and 2002 graduate of Southern Illinois School
of Law. She currently serves as Perry County Circuit Court Judge.
Since returning to Cannelton in 2002, Lucy has been very active in Democrat politics. She is the past President and co-founder of the Women’s Democrat Association of Perry County, past Secretary of the Cannelton Democrat Committee, and past Treasurer of the Young Democrat Association of Perry County.
Lucy is very active in her community. She is a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, serves as secretary of the church council, and oversees the committee responsible for the St. Michael’s School Building. She is a member of the Cannelton Booster Club, United Way Planned Giving Committee, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Perry County Animal Shelter.
Lucy is the recipient of the 2006 Perry County Junior Women "Outstanding Young Woman Award".
Lucy is the daughter of Melvin and Marilyn Rhodes. In July 2005 she became the wife of Adam Goffinet. They are the proud parents of two Boston Terriers, Socrates and Josie; a Beagle named Sadie; three cats, Pat, Hermione, and Weasley. In their spare time, Adam and Lucy enjoy hiking, visiting local wineries, listening to music, watching movies and spending time with their pets.
