JoAnn Smith
Central Committee Treasurer

JoAnn was appointed to the treasurer position in July 2002. Treasurer responsibilities include keeping all accounting records and reports for the Central Committee and being actively involved with the Democrat Party during election years. JoAnn pays the expenses and records the income from all events that the Central Committee is involved in such as the annual golf scramble, Christmas Party, and other annual events such as the 4-H fair, Schweitzer fest etc.

JoAnn has been a resident of Perry County all her life. She is a member of St Mark Parish and helps with the annual shooting match and serves as a substitute lector. She also assists at St Paul Parish where her daughter receives religious ed instructions for Confirmation. She is treasurer for the Perry County Service Unit for the Raintree Council and serves as her daughter’s co-leader for her Senior Troop. She and her daughter have been registered Girl Scouts for 10 years. She intends to accept the invitation to join the Lions Club of Tell City and is also associated with the United Way through the Holiday Helpers United Program.

JoAnn has been married to husband Mike for 25 years and they have a 15-year-old daughter Samantha who is a sophomore at TCHS. They are currently hosting a Foreign Exchange Student, Marleen Roettger form Germany who is 16 and a sophomore at TCHS. JoAnn resides in Lutgring Subdivision on Shiloh Road. She's the Troy Township Trustee and also works task force for Old National Bank.
