Gerald Yackle
Tell City Councilman

Gerald W. Yackle is Tell City’s City Councilman Ward #3.  Gerald is currently serving as Council President and is in his 4th term.  He is co-chairman of the Fire Department and Pool Committees and also serves on the LEPC.  He has been a volunteer fireman for 10 years and a certified first responder for 3 years.

Since being on the Council, Gerald has led efforts in the building of a new fire station, a police station, and renovations at the City Pool, Water Plant and the City Cemetery. 

Gerald is a member of the Tell City Masonic Lodge serving as Master in 1980.  He served as President of the Perry County Shrine Club in 1982.  Gerald was Treasurer of the Democrat Central Committee for four years.

Gerald and his wife Barbara (Sims) have two children Jeremy Yackle and Julie (Holtzman).  The Yackles are Methodists in faith belonging to the Troy UMC.  They are expecting their first grandchild in October.
