Two brothers and one sister-each died in infancy.
Parents- Glen and Goldie Morton (deceased)
Wife- Lynda D. Morton, registered nurse, part time employee of the Perry County Memorial Hospital
Children- Angela Beard, Brad Morton, Matt Morton
Step-children- Jay Mohr, Erin Sollman
Grandchildren- eleven total
Our family moved to Tell City in the summer of 1979 when I was employed as a teacher and coach by the Tell City-Troy Township School Corp. That employment ended in June, l999 when I retired after teaching for 34 years.
Education
I graduated from Oakland City High School in 1961. Attended
Indiana University Downtown Center in Indianapolis from 1961 to l963. I received
a Bachelor of Science degree from Oakland City University in 1966 and a Master
of Science degree from Indiana State University in 1969.

Present employment- Pastoral assistant at Evangelical United Church of Christ - Tell City
Reasons for seeking this position
“I have been interested
in local, state, and national political events throughout much of my life.
I believe that to maintain a vibrant representative government we need individuals
willing to step forward to serve other citizens of their community. My goal
will be to become aware of the major issues that voters of the 4th ward deem
important. Tell City has the potential for a great future. I hope to be able
to make that potential become a reality”
