Darrel Riley
Perry County Coroner

Prior to being elected Coroner in 2002, Darrel was Perry County’s deputy coroner since 1996.  He completed the state coroner’s training and worked a lot in the investigative aspects of the job.  Darrel also works as a paramedic for Perry County Emergency Medical Service and has a strong working relationship with county law enforcement agencies, Perry County Memorial Hospital, physicians and funeral homes.  Darrel actively works with family members and performs lab tests locally, keeping the number of autopsies to a minimum.
