Dennie Oxley
State Representative, House District 73
Representative Dennie Oxley is the State Representative for House District
73, which covers portions of Clark, Crawford, Dubois, Harrison, Jackson,
Perry, Scott and Washington counties. He was first elected in 1998 and currently
serves as the Democratic Whip for the House of Representatives under Democratic
Leader B. Patrick Bauer. Representative Oxley’s committee memberships
include Financial Institutions, Local Government and Rules and Legislative
Procedures.
When the legislature is not in session, Representative Oxley works for the Crawford County School Corporation as the assistant to the Superintendent. He is a former Crawford County High School math teacher.
Representative Oxley holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Education from Indiana University-Southeast as well as an Educational Administrator’s License.
Representative Oxley and his wife, Jayme, have two daughters, Demi, who is four years old and Audrey, who is five months old.
