Bob Glenn
County Sheriff

Bob is a 23-year veteran (retired) Tell City Police Officer who is serving his first 4-year term as County Sheriff. Since being elected to office he has obtained grants to install camera systems and one additional deputy for the Sheriff’s Office.

He installed new computers, started the Perry County Sex Offender’s File and a Perry County Reserve program, which consists of 7 unpaid auxiliary deputies to help with paper service, transportation of inmates and security for special events.

To help reduce the county taxpayer’s burden, Bob Glenn also created a Commissary, which has generated funds that help pay for maintenance, equipment, supplies and training for the jail. He entered into a physician’s contract, which has reduced the cost of medical treatment for inmates. He initiated the collection of weekender’s fees, medical and prescription co- pays from inmates, along with charging the Department of Corrections for holding and medical expenses for these prisoners.

Bob and Jayne have been married for 33 years. They have two children, Heather Glenn of Tell City & Jason Glenn of Branchville, IN.

He is a life long resident of Perry County and a member of the VFW post 2939,VFW past commanders, American Legion, 40 & 8, FOP, Indiana Sheriff’s Association & the Loyal Order of Moose.

Bob stated that he will remain vigilant in finding funds to offset taxpayer’s costs and remain fiscally conservative by working within a reasonable budget.
