Adam Goffinet

Adam Goffinet, the son of Bill & Dolores Goffinet of Tell City, is seeking the position of Cannelton City Council at Large. He is married to Lucy Goffinet, the daughter of Melvin & Marilyn Rhodes of Cannelton. Adam is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and holds a Bachelor of Science in both Chemistry and Biology. He works as a Program Manager for D.A. Stuart Company out of A.K. Steel, Rockport.

Adam moved to Cannetlon in 2004. Since then he has grown to appreciate the citizens of the town and the town itself. He feels that the town has potential for growth if driven by the right leadership. Adam feels there needs to be a positive and realistic approach to enhancing the town qualities and improvement in the areas in which the town is lacking. He believes that one does not have to be a lifelong citizen of Cannelton to recognize the history, pride and underlying greatness of it. However, Adam recognizes the needs and issues that Cannelton faces and hopes to work with city, county and state leaders to improve the city. If elected, Adam will work to make Cannelton a better city for its’ citizens and a better neighbor to the County.

Adam is very active in the community. He is a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where he serves on the Stewardship Committee. Adam is also involved with the Cannelton Democrats, Perry County Democrats, Bulldog Booster Club, Cannelton Foundation, Sons of the American Legion and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
