Flowers were in full glory during the Pumpkin Festival at downtown Cannelton. The Cannelton Democrat project to beautify the street bumpouts was celebrated at this time. Joining in the celebration were Democrat leaders, the mayor, businesses and citizens. Pictured are junior high school students and volunteers after the scavenger hunt co-sponsored by the Cannelton Democrats and the Learn and Serve Students. It was a fun-filled evening with students tactically solving riddles to beat the clock. Suspense and hidden surprises were riddled throughout the night. A weiner roast ended the evening allowing the students to refuel and share their experiences.
